According to what was published on 12 October 2026, the Investment and Development Committee of the Council of Representatives organised under the patronage of the Deputy Speaker a workshop to discuss the proposed amendment of the Investment Law No. 13 of 2006 with the participation of the National Investment Commission. The discussion focused on simplifying the procedures, improving the legislative clarity and the coordination between the National Commission and the provincial investment commissions, while the technical and legal discussions are to be completed at the NIC headquarters before the draft is finalised.
Our observation. From our side we note that the amendment is still at the stage of a proposal, and that its effect on the existing projects, if any, will depend on the provisions which are adopted and on the transitional arrangements accompanying them. We advise the existing and the prospective investors to follow the draft when it is published.

بحسب ما نُشر في 12 تشرين الأول 2026، نظمت لجنة الاستثمار والتنمية في مجلس النواب برعاية نائب رئيس المجلس ورشة لمناقشة مقترح تعديل قانون الاستثمار رقم 13 لسنة 2006 بمشاركة هيئة الاستثمار الوطنية. تركز النقاش على تبسيط الإجراءات وزيادة الوضوح التشريعي وتحسين التنسيق بين الهيئة الوطنية وهيئات الاستثمار في المحافظات، على أن تستكمل المناقشات الفنية والقانونية في مقر الهيئة قبل إنجاز المسودة.
